On the polling day, there is a possibility of light or drizzle at two places, but the weather across the country is likely to remain mainly dry, said the Meteorological Office.
Apart from this, the mild to moderate cold current in some northern districts including Panchagarh, Nilphamari will reduce and the temperature will increase. However, moderate to dense fog is also likely from Saturday midnight to polling day morning.
Meteorologist Manowar Hossain said that the weather of the whole country will be mainly dry with partly cloudy skies on the day of the 12th parliamentary elections. The temperature will be around 12 to 13 degrees Celsius in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions.
Apart from this, mild to moderate cold current has been going on for the past few days in some other districts including Syedpur, Nilphamari, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Pabna Ishwardi in the north.
He also said that due to the western low pressure, there may be moderate to dense fog in some places including the river basin from Saturday midnight to Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, in some districts including Nilphamari, Dinajpur, Panchagarh and Ishwardi in Pabna, the cold current will reduce a little. The temperature will also improve.
