At Abdullahpur area of ​​Dhaka-Mawa highway in South Keraniganj of Dhaka, he was hit by a microbus while crossing the road. An old man named Abdur Razzak (70) was killed.

The accident took place on the Abdullahpur main road of South Keraniganj at around 7:30 pm on Wednesday. Later, around 8:30 pm, when he was brought to the Dhaka Medical College (DMH) hospital in a coma, the doctor in charge of the emergency department declared him dead after the examination.

Abdur Razzak is the son of deceased Abdur Makim Mia of Biyi village in South Keraniganj Bawa.

Azahar Ali, the son of the deceased, said, ‘After Maghrib prayers, my father was crossing the road of Bawar Biya Bazar in Abdullahpur on the Dhaka-Mawa highway to listen to Waj Mahfil. At that time, a speeding microbus hit my father and seriously injured him. After getting the news, we rescued him and took him to Dhaka Medical, the doctor declared my father dead.’

The driver of the microbus did not flee after the push. Azahar Ali also said that he is in the toll plaza area with the microbus.

Bachchu Mia, in-charge inspector of DMK Hospital police camp, said the body has been kept in the hospital’s emergency department morgue. We have reported the matter to Dakshin Keraniganj Police Station.
