Police have arrested three people including a principal from Joypurhat on the charge of guaranteeing the passing of the 2nd stage written examination for the recruitment of assistant teachers in government primary schools. Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, senior information officer of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education confirmed this information to the media.
The arrested are the principal of Panchbibi Agriculture College of Joypurhat. Rustam Ali, Md. Ishan Imtiaz and Roknuzzaman.
The second phase of the written examination for the recruitment of assistant teachers in government primary schools will be held on Friday. On this day, the examination is scheduled to be held from 10 am to 11 am in 22 district cities of Khulna, Rajshahi, Mymensingh division.
Allegedly against the arrested, they were luring the candidates to guarantee their pass in the written examination in exchange of Tk 20 to Tk 25 lakh through electronic devices.
Shah Rezwan Hayat, director general of the Directorate of Primary Education, requested not to listen to such temptations of fraudsters before the written examination. He suggested to file a complaint at the nearest police station if any activity of fraud gang is found.
The director general said, ‘This type of cycle was active during the 1st phase of the examination. Due to the vigilant and alert role of the law enforcement forces, their attempts failed. Maximum steps have been taken to prevent any kind of irregularity in the assistant teacher recruitment examination.
