They also bought league teams. These include names from Shah Rukh Khan to Juhi Chawla and Preity Zinta. Now the name of Bollywood Khiladi Kumar i.e. Akshay Kumar has been added to that list. Yes, Akshay Kumar also bought a cricket team.
But it’s not the IPL, the actor recently bought the Srinagar team in the new Indian Street Premier League. Which is the T-Ten cricket tournament. The tournament is scheduled to be held between March 2 and March 9, 2024.
According to Hindustan Times, apart from sports, Akshay has a deep connection with martial arts.
Talking about the new venture, Akshay Kumar told a media, ‘I am excited to be a part of ISPL and the Srinagar team. This tournament promises to be a game-changer in the world of cricket and I look forward to being at the forefront of this unique sporting endeavour’. Akshay himself announced his decision to own a cricket team by posting on Instagram.
