Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, a member of the BNP Standing Committee of the BNP, who suffered from brain haemorrhage, is being taken to Singapore for better treatment. The BNP leader left for Singapore on a Singapore Airlines flight at midnight on Sunday.
Barrister Khandaker Maruf Hossain, son of Khandaker Mosharraf, said, ‘We left with my father, who suffered from brain haemorrhage. I am taking my father to Singapore National University Hospital for treatment on the advice of doctors at Evercare Hospital. Everything about his treatment has been fixed there.’
At this time, he also asked for prayers from the countrymen including party leaders and workers for the health of his father.
On June 16 last year, Khandaker Musharraf was taken to the capital’s Evercare Hospital when he fell ill while participating in the party’s march. Later on June 27, he was taken to the National University Hospital in Singapore.
After receiving treatment there for more than two months, he returned to Dhaka on September 5 last year. Later, when he fell ill again, he was again admitted to Evercare Hospital on December 5.
Family members said that he suffered a brain hemorrhage while in the hospital. He is being flown to Singapore after his physical condition has stabilized somewhat.
Khandkar Mosharraf Hossain is accompanied by his wife Bilkis Akhtar Hossain and two sons and family members.
