Two coaches of the Chapainawabganj-bound Dhallachar Express train left from Pabna were recovered 8 hours after the derailment at Aminpur. However, it will still take about an hour for the train to start running after completing some line repair work.

Hafizul Islam, Director of Dhallachar Express Train, confirmed this information in the afternoon.

Hafizul Islam said that 2 coaches of the train derailed in Ranigram area between Kashinathpur-Bandherhat railway station of Aminpur police station in Pabna at 7:20 am on Monday. However, there were no casualties. At this time, the railway connection between Pabna-Ishwardi was stopped.

After about 8 hours of trying, the derailed carriage was recovered around 4 pm. However, he also said that it will take an hour to start the train movement after the line is fixed.

In this regard, Pakshi Western Zone Divisional Engineer-2 Birbal Mondal said, ‘Relief train left from Locomotive Diesel Factory to rescue the Ishwardi accident train at 8:30 am after receiving the news.’

Birbal Mondal also said that a 4-member investigation committee has been formed by summoning Pakshi Divisional Railway Assistant Transport Officer Harun Or Rashid. The committee has been asked to submit its inquiry report within the next three working days.

Earlier, two coaches of the Chapainawabganj-bound Dhalarchar Express train leaving Pabna’s Dhalarchar derailed. However, although no one was injured in this incident, the railway service on the Pabna-Ishwardi route has been closed for a long time.
