After 8 hours ferry service started on Daulatdia-Paturia route

After being closed for 8 hours due to dense fog, ferry service has started on Daulatdia-Paturia route. Today, Tuesday at 9 am, the ferry service started when the fog cleared.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Aricha Region Deputy General Manager Shah Md. Khaled Nawaz confirmed this information to Independent Television.

Khaled Newaz said that on Monday at 1 o’clock in the night, when the river course was obscured by thick fog, the ferry service was stopped to avoid accidents. After the fog cleared, the ferry service started again from 9 am on Tuesday.

Over 100 vehicles were stuck in the ghat area as the ferry service was stopped for 8 hours. Drivers and passengers suffer.

The minimum temperature of 6.6 was recorded in Chuadanga-Sirajganj at 9 am on Tuesday. Severe winter is felt across the country as the temperature drops below.

In the weather forecast for Tuesday, the Meteorological Office said that the night temperature may rise slightly across the country during this time. Day temperature may decrease. Moderate to heavy fog may fall over the country from midnight to morning. It may continue till noon somewhere.

Besides, there may be rain in some places of Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong. Elsewhere in the country, the weather will remain dry with partly cloudy skies.
