After 14 days, BSF returned the bodies of two Bangladeshis

The Indian Border Guard Force (BSF) has returned the bodies of two Bangladeshis who were killed by BSF firing at the Baradi border in Chuadanga after 14 days. BSF held a flag meeting at the Baradi border in Damurhuda on Saturday evening and returned the body.

The deceased are Sajedur Rahman (28), son of Haider Ali, and Khaja Moinuddin (30), son of Shariatullah, of Chigharia village of Damurhuda Upazila, Chuadanga.

Abdur Rahman, a member of Ward No. 6 of Parakrishnapur-Madna Union, said that on the night of December 16, Sajedur and Moinuddin Baradi crossed the border illegally and entered India. Both of them are cattle traders. That same night they were shot dead by BSF members of Gobindpur camp of Krishnaganj police station in India.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chuadanga Darshana Police Station Biplab Kumar Nath said that before Saturday evening, a flag meeting was held near 26 sub pillars of 82 main pillars in the presence of BGB and BSF members of the border guarding forces of the two countries. Officials of BSF and BGB were present in the meeting.

The OC said that after handing over the dead bodies, they were taken to their homes in Chigharia village at night.
