In Sonargaon, Narayanganj, a youth named Al Amin was hacked to death by his cousin and his accomplices. The police recovered the body of the dead youth from the sand field of Chalibhanga village of neighboring Meghna upazila on Friday afternoon.

The deceased is the son of Ismail Mia of Vitikandi area of ​​Sambhupura union of Al Amin upazila. It is believed that he was killed due to a family dispute.

Relatives of the deceased said, ‘Yesterday Thursday afternoon, Saudi expatriate Al Amin was called by his cousin Sujan from home. He did not return home that night and both their mobile phones were found switched off. Later, when Sujan returned home alone, she was asked about Al Amin. Sujan answered in reverse. If there was any doubt about this, he was taken to Sonargaon police station and detained for questioning. Later, the police recovered Al Amin’s body from a deserted sand field by tracking the location through information technology.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sonargaon Police Station Kamruzzaman said, ‘The body of the deceased has been recovered and sent to the morgue for post-mortem. A person named Sujan is being detained and interrogated.
