It has been alleged that a young man named Md Nabir (22) was hacked and injured by drug dealers for protesting drug trade in the Gogan area of ​​Khilgaon in the capital. The incident took place on Thursday around seven in the evening.

Later, Nabir was brought to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital in a bloody state. He is currently undergoing treatment in the neuro surgery ward.

Son of Badruddin Babu of Nabibir More of Nabir Gogan. His parents said that he is an employee of a shoe shop in Gulistan area.

Injured Nabir’s mother Nasima Begum said, ‘Drug dealers sell various types of drugs including yaba and ganja around our house. I have told my son many times that you don’t say anything to them, they are bad people. But he didn’t listen to me. Last three days he protested this business of drug dealers. Tell them not to do business here. The matter was also reported to the police. Due to this incident, in the evening several people including drug dealer Azad, Kalu Russell and Nasir cut my son with knives and chopsticks on different parts of his body including head, waist, back and legs.’

He also alleged that the attackers fled with mobile and cash from Nabir.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp in-charge Md. Bachchu Mia said, ‘When the young man was brought to the hospital with bloody injuries from Khilgaon, he was treated in the emergency department. The doctor said his condition is critical due to excessive bleeding. We have reported the matter to the concerned police station.’
