A woman was tied to a pillar and tortured for theft in Feni. At this time, the torturers hung a signboard saying ‘I am a thief’ around his neck.
Allegations of inhumane torture have been made against Feni Diabetes Hospital authorities. The incident took place in front of the main gate of the hospital at around 11:30 am on Sunday.
After the torture, a video of the incident spread on social media Facebook. It can be seen, tied to the pillar with a rope and pasted the writing ‘I am a thief’ on the chest.
After the incident was spread on social media, a commotion started in the area. Many have reacted strongly in the comments of the video. However, the witnesses are afraid to open their mouths in this incident.
In this regard, Director of Feni Diabetes Hospital, Brigadier General (Retd.) Khan Mohammad Asad Ullah Ghalib said that there are constant incidents of theft in the hospital. Thieves came from different places and stole valuables including mobile phones of patients and relatives. Earlier, a female thief was caught red-handed during the theft and handed over to the police. However, legal action will be taken against those who tied the thief to the pillar with the neck of the thief subject to investigation.
