A vegetable trader lost both his legs while boarding a moving train

A person lost both his legs after his foot slipped while boarding a moving train at Bhangura in Pabna. The incident took place at Baral Bridge railway station of Bhangura upazila around 6 am on Saturday.

Alauddin (48), who lost both legs, is the son of Azahar Ali of Balaigati village of Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj district. He is a vegetable trader by profession.

According to eyewitnesses, the Dhaka-bound mail train that left Ishwardi in Pabna arrived at Baral Bridge railway station early in the morning. When the train left the platform at 6 in the morning, Alauddin, a vegetable trader, was running and picking up goods on the train. As soon as he stepped on the steps of the train, he slipped and fell on the line. His two legs were severed.

The locals rescued the injured Alauddin and admitted him to the Upazila Health Complex.
