A Malaysian woman who doesn’t like crowds, bought all the seats in the cinema hall by herself. His name is Eriaka Baiduri. On January 3, he posted a video of an empty cinema hall on the video sharing platform TikTok. Then the video went viral on social media.

According to the British media Independent, Eriaka reportedly runs a beauty parlour. In a video shared on TikTok, he is seen in an empty cinema hall wearing glasses and eating popcorn while waiting for the movie to start.

Eriaka captioned the video, ‘We are introverts. So I bought all the seats.’ Ever since the video was posted, various discussions and criticisms have started on social media. Some have written, his decision is not wrong at all. I would do the same if I could. Many people wrote that he did this to show that he has money.

This is another way of saying ‘I’m rich,’ another user wrote.

I posted the video as a joke and captioned it jokingly, Eriaka Baiduri told Malaysian media outlet Mstar. Didn’t realize it would go viral like this. Netizens say a lot of things, like I’m pretentious, I’m introverted, etc. They can say these things. I don’t mind. Rather, I am enjoying watching their fight in the comments.

The Straits Times reported that the cinema has 10 rows and each row has 16 seats. Ticket prices for each seat range from 11 Ringgit (Malaysian currency) to 35 Ringgit. Area costs for all seat tickets range from 1,760 ringgit to 5,600 ringgit.
