9 Pakistanis were killed by gunmen in the southeastern border area of Iran. The incident took place on Saturday amid recent tensions between Iran and Pakistan. Qatar-based media Al Jazeera reported this information.
Iranian media Meher News also confirmed the truth of this tragic death and published the news. According to the media, miscreants killed 9 people by attacking a mess in the city of Saravan, bordering Pakistan. All the dead are reported to be Pakistani workers. Locals said the deceased worked in a car repair factory.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, Iran’s law and order forces said they have launched a search operation to catch the criminals. On this side, Pakistan has condemned the murder case and demanded a quick investigation and punishment of the culprits.
On January 16, Iran launched an airstrike in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. According to Tehran, two bases of a terrorist group called Jaish Al-Adl have been attacked by drones and missiles in Baluchistan, Pakistan.
Later Pakistan condemned the attack accusing Iran of airspace violation and retaliated. After that, tension spread in the diplomatic circles of the two countries. Even diplomatic measures like withdrawal of ambassadors are taken. Later, the situation calmed down based on bilateral talks.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahi is scheduled to visit Pakistan tomorrow Monday. In the meantime, another incident of Pakistani casualties occurred.
