7 soldiers were killed in a suicide bomb attack in Pakistan

Terrorists have carried out a suicide bomb attack on an army security post near the Pakistan-Afghan border. It has been reported that at least 7 soldiers were killed. This information was reported by the news agency Reuters with reference to the Pakistan Army.

Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that the attack took place on an army post in Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan, early Saturday morning. Six terrorists carried out the attack. However, no terrorist group was mentioned in the statement.

The statement of the Pakistan Army also said that the terrorists entered the security post with an explosive-laden vehicle. Then a series of suicide bombs exploded. Five soldiers were killed on the spot. Two more soldiers were later killed while resisting the terrorists.

A Habildar, a Naik, three sepoys, a lieutenant colonel and a captain were among the seven soldiers killed in the attack, ISPR said.

Several Waziristan residents told Reuters that several nearby houses had their doors and windows broken when the security checkpoint was bombed.

Pakistani security officials say terrorist attacks in Pakistan have increased over the past few months. The Pakistani Taliban (TTP) claimed responsibility for several of these attacks. The origin of this terrorist group is mainly in Afghanistan.
Security analysts say that diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan are deteriorating due to these terrorist attacks.
