The Ministry of Public Administration has appointed 2 thousand 453 people recommended through the 41st BCS examination in various cadres.

A notification in this regard has been issued by the ministry on Thursday.

According to the notification, the newly appointed officers will have to join the respective cadre controlling ministries or departments on April 28 following the prescribed conditions. 67 people have been dropped from the recruitment list.

The Public Service Commission (PSC) recommended 2,520 names for recruitment to the 41st BCS. From there, 67 people were not appointed in this list.

Incidentally, PSC published the 41st BCS notification on 27 November 2019. More than four lakh candidates applied for it. 21 thousand 56 people participated in the written exam.

There was some delay in the publication of the results as 20% of the 15,000 candidates who took part in the written examination were found to have a 20% discrepancy. Viva begins after evaluation of mismatched accounts by a third examiner. After all the process, the final result is published on 27 November 2023.
