4 shops burnt down in Nesharabad

4 shops were gutted by fire at Talukdar Market in Mier Hat Bandar, Nesharabad, Pirojpur. This incident happened on Friday around 4 pm.

Eyewitnesses said that the first fire broke out in the shop named “Desh Bakery” of Ejaz Ahmed in Mierhat Bazar. In no time, the fire spread to the surrounding shops. 4 shops were burnt in this incident. Ashiq Hasan Miraj’s shop named “Jihad Enterprise”, Ejaz Ahmed’s “Desh Bakery”, Zahirul Islam’s “Jani Steel and Thai” shop and meat seller Idris Ali’s shop were burnt.

Nesharabad fire service officer. Monirul Islam said, ‘We reached the spot quickly after receiving the news and were able to bring the fire under control in about an hour. I am initially thinking that the fire may be due to electrical disturbance. The traders are claiming that there has been a loss of around two crore rupees.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Nesharabad Police Station Golam Charwar said, ‘4 small and big shops and residences have been burnt in the fire in Mierhat Bazar. However, there were no casualties. Initially, it is believed that there has been extensive damage.’
