Four people were killed when Balaka Express train hit a sand-laden truck in Mymensingh. This incident took place in Shambhuganj Char Raghurampur area around 1.30 pm on Monday. Mymensingh-Netrakona rail link is closed in this incident.

Eyewitnesses said that the Balaka Express train coming from Jaria in Durgapur was crossing Shambhuganj Char Raghurampur crossing in Mymensingh. However, as there was no barrier, a truck loaded with sand fell from the road onto the train line. Meanwhile, the truck fell on the side of the line due to the impact of the train. And the train stopped about one kilometer ahead.
Four people were killed on the spot. All the dead are believed to be passengers of the train. The fire service recovered the body of one of them from the side of the truck and the other three from the front of the train.
