3 killed in truck-CNG collision in Jamalpur

Three people were killed in a head-on collision between a sand-carrying truck and CNG at Bharuakhali Bazar on the Jamalpur-Mymensingh highway. 3 passengers of CNG were seriously injured in this accident. The accident took place at Bharuakhali Bazar in Ghoradhap Union on Tuesday around 4 pm.

The deceased are CNG driver Arman Miah, Khokon Miah, a resident of Ishwarganj police station in Mymensingh and Mosharraf Hossain, a resident of Sherpur district.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Jamalpur Sadar Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Sohrab Hossain said that a CNG with passengers from Mymensingh was speeding towards Jamalpur when it collided head-on with a truck coming from the other side at Varuakhali Bazar. 3 people were killed on the spot. Later the locals rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital.

Sohrab Hossain also said that the bodies of the victims were recovered and taken to the Narundi investigation center. Legal action will be taken in this case.
