Three Indian soldiers were killed in an attack by separatists in India’s Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday afternoon. Three more soldiers were injured. Times of India and NDTV reported this news about the Indian Army.
According to reports, clashes broke out between separatists and army personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district. Army casualties occurred during this time.
It is also said that the separatists attacked two military vehicles while passing through Dera Ki Gali in Poonch district of Rajouri region at 3:45 pm. After that, a clash broke out between the two sides.
Additional forces have been deployed at the spot.
Earlier, the army started operations in Dera Ki Gali area from Wednesday night. This campaign is still ongoing.
Incidentally, this is the second separatist attack on the Indian Army in Poonch district in less than a month. Five soldiers, including two captains, were killed after the army and its special forces launched an ‘anti-terrorist operation’ in the Kalakot area of Rajouri last month.
