Two youths died after being hit by a train at Airport Railway Station and Moghbazar Railgate in the capital. When they were brought unconscious to the Dhaka Medical College (DMH) hospital on Monday night, the doctor in charge of the emergency department declared them dead.
Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Railway Station Sanu Mong Marma confirmed the matter.
ASI said that the unidentified youth was seriously injured by the train while crossing the railway line of the airport railway station around 7:30 pm on Monday. After he was rescued and brought to DM, the doctor on duty declared him dead at around 10:15 PM. His identity was not known after asking people around the scene. However, with the help of technology, efforts are being made to know his identity. The body has been kept at the hospital morgue in Dham for post-mortem.
On the other hand, a train going to Kamalapur was hit by a train at the capital’s Moghbazar railway gate. A young man named Rezwan Khan Simon (25) died.

Confirming the matter, Railway Police ASI Sanu Mong Marma said, ‘On receiving the news, we rescued the seriously injured young man from the spot on Monday at 9:30 pm and brought him to DM. Later, the doctor in charge declared him dead at around 10 pm after the examination.
ASI also said that the youth’s relatives came to the emergency department of DMK and identified him. The body has been kept at the hospital morgue in Dham for post-mortem.
