The incidence of dengue fever has started to decrease gradually throughout the country. 2 more people died in last 24 hours. One of them is from the capital and the other from outside Dhaka. With this, the total number of deaths due to dengue this year has increased to 1,676. 308 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital in these 24 hours.
This information was informed in a press release sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Thursday. It is said that 1 thousand 823 dengue patients are currently under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country including Dhaka.
According to the notification, 97 residents of Dhaka and 211 outside Dhaka among the 308 people who were admitted to hospital due to dengue infection from Wednesday 8 am to Thursday 8 am. With this, the total number of affected patients has reached 3 lakh 18 thousand 613.
Analyzing the data of the Department of Health and IEDCR, it can be seen that the official statistics of dengue cases and deaths so far this year have broken all the records of the last 24 years.
Last year, 281 people died due to dengue in the country. This year has already surpassed that record. Before this, 179 people died in 2019. Apart from this, 7 people died in 2020 and 105 people died in 2021.
