2 Bangladeshis killed in BSF firing at Chuadanga border

Two Bangladeshis were killed in BSF firing at Baradi border in Chuadanga. They died in BSF firing last Saturday night.

The deceased are Sajedur Rahman (28), son of Haider Ali and Khawaja Moinuddin (30), son of Shariatullah, of Chigharia village of Darshana police station. They were cattle traders. Their bodies were taken away by the Indian police.

Abdur Rahman, a member of Ward No. 6 of Parakrishnapur-Madna Union Parishad, said that both the victims were residents of Ward No. 6. They were cattle traders. They often went to India to bring cows. They were shot dead by BSF while trying to enter India illegally at around 9 pm yesterday. The victims died after crossing the Baradi border of Bangladesh and entering the Gobindpur area of ‚Äč‚ÄčIndia. The body was taken inside India by the police there.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chuadanga Darshana police station Biplab Kumar Nath said that the deceased were cattle traders. They went to India to bring cows. They were killed by BSF firing sometime last night.

The OC said that their bodies were taken away by the Indian police. Indian police can return the body after post-mortem there.
