Police have arrested two youths in connection with theft of money by breaking the lock of Dutch Bangla agent banking entrepreneur’s shop in Palash of Narsingdi. Yesterday Sunday night, with the help of information technology, raids were conducted in Debidwar police station area of Comilla district and they were arrested. Palash Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Iktyar Uddin informed this information on Monday afternoon.
The arrested persons are Taufit alias Tauhid (28) son of deceased Kashem Mia of Shushunda village in Muradnagar police station area of Comilla district and Jamal alias Kamal Mia (42) son of deceased Abdur Rashid Mia of the same village.
Palash Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Iktiyar Uddin said that on December 15 at noon, the gang of thieves broke the lock of Dutch Bangla Agent Banking on the ground floor of MP Market in Charsindur Bazar area of Charsindur Union of Palash Upazila and stole about 9 lakh taka. In this incident, the victim made a written complaint to the police station, and after a long effort with the help of information technology, a team of the police station managed to arrest them.
Mohammad Iqtiyar Uddin also said that three mobile phones along with cash were recovered from the arrested persons. They were sent to jail on Monday by the court.
