12 cars caught fire in 24 hours due to BNP blockade

Miscreants set fire to 12 vehicles across the country in 24 hours during the ongoing blockade of BNP. Among them, 6 cars were burnt in the capital. This information was informed in a notification of the Fire Service Media Cell sent to the media on Thursday.

Miscreants also set fire to a bus in Shahbagh of the capital on Thursday afternoon.

It has been said that the fire service received the information of setting fire to 12 vehicles from 6 am to 6 am on Wednesday. Among them, 6 vehicles were set on fire in the capital, 2 in Gazipur, 3 in Chittagong and 1 in Sirajganj.

According to the fire service, 6 buses, 2 covered vans, 1 truck and 3 pickups were damaged in these incidents.

According to the organization, miscreants set fire to a pickup truck at Gazipur’s Sreepur Bazar at 6:30 am on Wednesday, and a staff bus of Agrani Bank at Khilgaon Taltala in the capital at 8:30 am.

On the same day, 1 covered van was set on fire at Kapasia in Gazipur at 11:15 am, 3 buses at Khilgaon Maniknagar intersection at 5:15 pm, 1 bus at Pragti Memorial at 8:30 pm, 1 pickup at Sirajganj Shahjadpur at 9:30 pm and 1 bus at Kalurghat CMB intersection in Chittagong at 11:30 pm.

On Wednesday midnight, 1 truck in front of Agargaon ADB Bank, 1 covered van at Rejumiya Bridge in Chagalnaiya, Feni at 3 am and 1 covered van at CMB junction in Kalurghat, Chittagong at 4 am, the fire service reported.

Apart from this, a passenger bus of Tarang Plus Paribahan was set on fire at 1 pm on Thursday at Shahbagh.

The fire service reported receiving 266 fire reports from last October 28 till 6 am on Thursday.
