At least 11 people have been killed in violence in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Among the dead were 9 Palestinians and 2 Israeli citizens. This information is known in a report of Al Jazeera.
On Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said that at least 7 Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike in the West Bank city of Jenin. Among the dead are four members of a family. The attack was carried out targeting a gathering. An Israeli police officer was also killed in the attack by Palestinians.
Meanwhile, Israeli police said an officer was killed when an explosive device was thrown at their vehicle during an operation in Jenin. Apart from this, three officers were injured.
In a separate incident, Israeli forces reportedly killed a Palestinian child in a car at a checkpoint in the West Bank. The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that the four-year-old child was killed by Israeli forces at the Beit Iqsa checkpoint, northwest of Jerusalem.
Israeli forces say the shots were fired when a van driver hit one of their officers at a checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah. Israeli forces claimed that a girl in another vehicle at the checkpoint was injured when the terrorists opened fire.
Earlier, a Palestinian was killed by Israeli army fire in the village of Abwein, north of Ramallah, the Ministry of Health said. There was no response from the Israeli army in this regard. However, an Israeli civilian was shot dead elsewhere in Ramallah, the army said.
Israeli forces have been attacking Gaza since October 7. And since then, the incidents of violence in the West Bank also increased.
